Heba Abu Qaren
Introduction
My name is Heba Abu Qaren. My major is English. I practice at Salem Preparatory School with the teacher, Sondos. I teach one-seventh row, one-eighth row, and two-ninth rows. Some of them have good English and others are bad.
Before delving into the practical applications, I want to talk about this course, which helped me a lot. The course was amazing and useful. The practical application helped me overcome the fear of education and made it easier for me to teach in schools in the future. Now I know how to deal with students well.
All I thought was that the students would not accept me or take me seriously and that I would not succeed in my mission as a teacher. But it turned out to be the opposite of my expectations. The students were so helpful and wonderful. No doubt there are some naughty students, but this is indispensable as I managed to win their love and trust. They are eagerly awaiting my lesson, and when I enter the classroom, they greet me and talk to me. It is good to be a teacher and friend to your students.
The lesson plans were successful, unconventional, informative, and interesting and the students loved them. I knew this when I saw the students interacting with me and trying to answer the questions. In addition, their concentration rate increased. I am happy with this progress.
As for my mentor, Dr. Afnan Mouassi, I don't think I can describe how kind and helpful she was to me. I felt very comfortable with her, because she saved me from a lot of things, was lenient with me, and directed me in matters of teaching. She was with me step by step until I relied on myself. I thank her from the bottom of my heart.
